Festival in the Forest is back at Devonshire Road!
Thank you all who joined our meeting last week. We had a very busy agenda starting with a presentation by Steve Bolton from Butterfly Conservation about their new 4-year project, Big City Butterflies. There are many opportunities to get involved in the project (e.g. receiving training, organising events, get advice on habitat management) so please find further details in the presentation attached and contact Steve (sbolton@butterfly-conservation.org) directly if you would like to be involved in any activities.
A new online training course from Froglife arn to identify the amphibians that are found in London and about their basic ecology (including both natives and non-natives).
London Gardens Trust (LGT) is looking for volunteers who would be interested in undertaking re-search into green spaces in Lewisham. Whether you are an experienced researcher, have attended a course and would like to put theory into practice, or would like to learn how to research a garden's history for the first time we invite you to join us.
It has been a long time since Nature's Gym has been able to function normally, but we are pleased to announce that from July 2021, we will be back to full strength! If you are new to volunteering with us please email Jess who would be happy to send you all the relevant details. This will include information about how to join and the current programme. If you are one of our regulars, you will receive a new programme shortly. This will no longer be on a booking system, but we will ask you to confirm if you are coming or not to make it easier to plan tasks and work.

Glendale have released a Lewisham parks and Open Spaces survey. Please fill this in and let them know what you think about your local park! There are not too many questions and so it shouldn't take too long. You can also fill it out more than once if you would like to comment on more than one park.
