Dacres Wood AGM and Open Day

You are invited to Friends of Dacres Wood Nature Reserve AGM on Saturday 27th June at 12pm-1pm. Please come along if you wish to be involved in your local Nature Reserve.  We are also seeking new members for the committee and the current Chair and Treasurer will be stepping down.  If you would like to be involved, please join us at the AGM or email the Secretary.

The reserve will then be open between 1pm-4pm for the month Open Day where you can come and take part in some pond dipping.

Dacres Wood Nature Reserve

Saturday 28th March Dacres Wood will be having its first

Open Day for 2015. The Reserve will be open from 1-4pm

The Reserve will be open last Saturdays in the month

Mar-Oct 2015.

You can find us behind Homefield House on Dacres Road SE23 2NX.
Also there will also be an opportunity to visit the site this Sunday

too as part of a nature walk led by Tom Moulton,   –  It starts at

Forest Hill station, 2pm, and will pass through our reserve,

as well as the Albion Millennium Green, Mayow Park and Home Park.

Sydenham Arts Trail & Froglife comes to Dacres Wood Nature Reserve

Sydenham Arts Trail & Froglife

comes to Dacres Wood Nature Reserve

12th, 13th, 19th & 20th July Dacres Wood will be open for the Sydenham Arts Trail.

The weekend of the 12th & 13th July, 11-5pm artists Kay Bromley, Lilian Chow, Diana Mckinnon, Lisa Muten, & Jill Tse will be showing their work varying from paintings, textiles, prints and jewellery.

On the 19th July Froglife are coming to the reserve, 10-4pm. On this day there will lots of activities for all the family including pond dipping, making plaster cast frogs as well as talks and information on the amphibians and fauna of the pond.

We look forwrad to seeing you then.
Also if you are able to volunteer a few hours on any of these days to help with making teas or greeting visitors please contact us.
