The Friends of Brockley and Ladywell Cemeteries (FoBLC) is this year celebrating the 10th anniversary of its formation. Over the last few years FoBLC has held an Open Day within the cemetery to promote this beautiful, peaceful and historic Victorian landscape – leading tours of the cemetery, mounting an exhibition giving information on the history of the cemetery, its memorials, famous persons interred there, current and future conservation work, its flora and fauna. We also sell refreshments and publications. The aim is to enable visitors to gain an insight into the history of the cemetery, discover its beauty and its importance to the Brockley and Ladywell environs.

Bellenden Road Nature Garden open day. Go wild about Peckham’s plants.
Come and explore this little urban oasis and join in with lots of plant themed activities.
The London Wildlife Trust will be celebrating our native wild plants and will have Peckham provenance seeds for sale, plant games and chances to look for the wildlife living amongst the undergrowth. There will also be refreshments on offer.
We have been busily working away over the last year thanks to funding from Grow Wild to improve the garden and have lots of plans for the future too thanks to the Peter Minet Trust. Find out all about ‘Peckham’s Wild Patch’ and go ‘Wild about Peckham’.
Do come and join us on this special day!
