The volunteers write…
On Saturday 5th February, we are having a community volunteer day, to try and dig out as much of the invasive 3-cornered garlic as possible, as it is spreading rapidly across large swathes of the churchyard. There will also be other tasks to do if volunteers prefer. We will put up posters to advertise the day, and use our existing e-mail lists, plus we will hopefully have a few people from Good Gym, but I was wondering if it was possible for you to plug the event to any of your volunteer groups? I’ve attached a poster with the details, but basically it’s Saturday 5th February, 10.30-12.30pm. It’s a huge area so we should be able to socially distance easily even with lots of volunteers. Refreshments and tools are provided, but if people prefer to bring their own, that is fine.
