Hi all, unfortunately, we have had to change the location for tomorrow’s (2 March 2017) Nature’s Gym.  Instead we shall be working at Lower Sydenham Station.  Hopefully, we can go back to Belmont Park and finish our work there another time.

Please look for Lower Sydenham Station on this document for details of how to get there.

See you tomorrow.

Successful day at the Lower Sydenham Cycle Path

A successful joint project with Sustrans London

A successful joint project with Sustrans London

The Nature’s Gym volunteers have worked with Sustrans on the Lower Sydenham Cycle Path project on a number of occasions now.It is a project that we all like and are keen to be involved in.  In the long term, Sustrans London, with the help of London Borough of Lewisham are looking for funding to make this a site that local people and commuters would like to use, but there is a lot to do.

Maps and ideas for he site!

Simone, a Sustrans Quietways Project Assistant  said “…the event was important for many reasons.  It served to strengthen our collaboration with LB Lewisham and it gave us additional inspirations. The enthusiasm for the future development of the site is high.”

There is still plenty of work to do here and we hope that future days can be organised.  If this is something that you would be interested in getting involved in, please contact us.

A change is as good as a bike ride

The new (programme link includes change) Nature’s Gym programme may have only been out for a few days, but we have already had to make a change.  Our session on 22nd October 2015 will now be at Lower Sydenham Cycle Path.  This is a project that we have been working on n partnership with Sustrans who own the site. We have worked on this site a few times in the past, but there is still a lot to do. Come a long and find out their plans for the site and see how you can help.

Please pass this message on to any volunteer you see that may not see this post.  We will of course remind you nearer the time as well.
