It has been a while since the woodchip chipped!

We have written here on a number of occasions about creating wood chip footpaths. It is always a popular task with the volunteers because of the satisfaction it gives them once it is complete. It is also a great workout with all the wheelbarrowing it takes! The one we built last week was in Chinbrook Community Orchard on a lovely sunny day. The pile was large when we arrived but we managed to get through it all. Having 7 wheelbarrows and hardworking volunteers helps!

It was also good to be back again to see the development of the new pond and the vines that we cleared. Volunteers enjoy going back to a site and seeing how much work has been achieved since they were last there and also seeing that the area they cleared for a pond now has a pond!

We will be back later this week to carry out some more jobs.
