The London Orchard Project will be (LOP) is providing a number of expert fruit tree restoration workshops at De Frene Road allotments. These will be held on;
Tuesday 29 January 2013 – 10.30am to 3pm
Tuesday 5 February 2013 – 10.30am to 3pm
Saturday 16 February 2013 – 10.30am to 3pm
With these three sessions they hope to make a big improvement as well as teaching people useful skills for their own gardens and window boxes. All equipment and protective clothing is provided by LOP and Sydenham Gardens will provide refreshments.
BOOKING
Booking is essential for these workshops. To help cover LOP’s fee there is a small charge for the workshops of £15.00 for each session, £40 for all three; concessions it is £5 for one session, £12 for three. The charge is payable in advance.

Restoring the Orchard
De Frene has many fruit trees including pear, plum and apple. But they do need a lot of TLC to maximise the yield. Some of the crop will be sold and some will be made into jams, juices and chutneys for the benefit of the allotment and Sydenham Garden.
