Capital Growth – London Grows buddy site visit

From the Capital Growth website

Sign up for a London Grows Buddy

Are you a community or school growing group? Would you like to receive practical advice and support on how to improve your garden?

London Grows site support aims to help you improve your community or school food growing space, and incorporate wildlife-friendly growing practices and principles into your garden, through the support and mentorship of a trained London Grows buddy. By taking part, you will be matched with a buddy who will visit your garden twice, first in June/July and then again in the autumn, to assess your space and offer relevant and practical advice and resources to help you grow.

To apply

Any Capital Growth member can apply for site support, simply download and complete our short application form to let us know more about your growing space and how a buddy’s site support could help.
Please send completed applications to Clare Gilbert by by Monday 7 June.

Mountsfield Park Food Growing Space

Lewisham has over 80 Community Gardens providing a range of growing spaces within schools, community centres, businesses and housing areas.  Managing these gardens themselves offers a valuable opportunity for Lewisham residents to join together in not only growing food, but also in contributing skills such as managing volunteers, fundraising and committee roles.

If you are a keen grower, and are looking for a challenge, then a potential further growing site has been located within the grounds of MountsfieldPark with funding provided for basic infrastructure and set up costs.

At this stage we would like to gauge initial interest from residents who may, with some initial guidance and support, wish to set up and run a community food growing space in this area.

To register your initial interest in setting up/running a community garden in MountsfieldPark please email Katy Delaney. Alternatively, please fill out the form below.
