We (The Forestry Commission) invite you to join us at this free workshop to look at woodland management and what is important to consider when completing woodland management plans and forest operations. This workshop is aimed at community woodland groups who are responsible for managing woodland.
The workshop will have indoor sessions on:
- Why Manage Woodlands
- Introduction to UK Forestry Standard

- Producing a Woodland Management plan

- Regulations
- Tree Health & Resilience
The workshop will involve an outdoor session in the afternoon into the neighbouring Kings Wood, a 60ha ancient woodland, looking at the management that has been undertaken including coppicing, ride management and different harvesting options.
