Winter Bird Walk 6th December

winter bird walk 6th Dec

Winter bird walk on Saturday 6th December at 10:00, likely lasting around 90 minutes. Please meet inside the Crescent Wood Road entrance by the LWT notice board. The Wood is exceptionally muddy in winter so please wear suitable footwear and clothing, wellies are ideal. Binoculars (bins, binos, field glasses) will be highly beneficial. If there is ice underfoot or storm conditions the walk will be postponed.

In winter Sydenham Hill Wood welcomes migrant species such as the redwing, fieldfare and the firecrest. If we are lucky we may encounter some of these birds. This will be an opportunity to learn more about how winter birdlife is different to those we can find in summer.

This is a free walk, donations are welcome. London Wildlife Trust is a membership organisation.
