  1. Hi, My wife and I are experienced wildlife watchers and are wardens on our local Suffolk Wildlife Trust reserve at Snape Marshes. We visited Ladywell Fields yesterday with our daughter who lives near LF. We entered the park from the Duncombe Hill end (sorry, local knowledge not great) and walked mainly down until we got to where the Ravensbourne River goes under the path, next to the railway line. We had a definite sighting of a water vole low on the bank, to the right of the bridge. You may think we’re mad, or maybe you already know they are there, but we are familiar with identifying water voles and it was quite clearly a wv. It’s burrow is clearly visble just above the water line.
I thought I’d better let you know and wonder if you would please reply to let me know whether you were aware that there are wv’s in Ladywell Fields (well at least one anyway).
Many thanks for an enjoyable walk.
    Best wishes,
