Sunday 20th February FEBRUARY STROLL
Meet Mansion steps 1.30pm for a short walk around the woods and down to the river.
Sunday 6th March TREE WALK
Meet 1.30pm on the mansion steps. A walk around the park with a special look at the trees. Several have had to be cut down over this winter due to safety considerations as they have rotted, but there are still many impressive trees all over the park e.g. a 4metre girth Turkey Oak we’ve just found near the Foxgrove Club.
NATURE CONSERVATION WORKDAYS
Saturdays 8th Jan, 12th Feb & 12th Mar
Meet on the mansion steps at 10.00am – Noon. Please try to be on time. Only light work is carried out, no tree felling and we usually only work for a couple of hours. Gloves, tools and instruction provided. The work we do is light pruning / coppicing. Rhododendron control, Holly control, bramble control, Litter Picks. It’s surprising how much work a few people can do in a short time.
