Thames 21 – Introduction to River Restoration

Thames 21 writes…

I’m delighted to share that Thames21 are hosting a free two-day Introduction to River Restoration course. I know there are many of you who have joined our BPP volunteering sessions over the past year who would be interested in learning more about this opportunity so here are the details:

Dates: Friday 25th and Saturday 26th October

Time: 10am-4pm

Location: The Mansion, Beckenham Place Park

The course will introduce the skills and knowledge you need to contribute to river restoration in London. It will give you an insight into what is involved in planning, constructing, monitoring and maintaining a river restoration project and inspire you to look at your local rivers in a new way.

To book your free space please visit our booking platform here. If you have any questions, please get in touch with my colleague Sam, by emailing sam.bentley-toon@thames21.org.uk. It’s very timely with the river improvements now happening in BPP and a huge thank you to many of you who have joined these new sessions so far.

Please note, the above course is different to the Thames21 Leading Action for Healthy Rivers course, which I’ve previously offered and some of you have completed. As promised, I will be in touch soon to confirm the new dates for the next training of Leading Action for Healthy Rivers.
