Date: Sunday 16th July
Time: 10:00am – 12:30pm
Venue: Ravensbourne River, Beckenham Place Park, Downham Gate, The Common, Old Bromley Road, BR1 4JZ
Join Thames 21 for a river wade along the Ravensbourne River in Beckenham Place Park. Learn about your river while making a positive difference with other locals.
We’ll meet for a 10am river health and safety briefing before guiding you up the river for approximately 90 minutes; walking along the riverbank and in the river with the aim of collecting rubbish, removing any large items and invasive species along the way.

Meeting point: Meet by the open section of the river by the playpark. You’ll see a small blue van parked up. The nearest access into the park is at the Downham Gate from the Old Bromley Road.

What to bring: Please dress appropriately for weather on the day with closed toe shoes and bring water to stay hydrated. Please bring your own lunch if you’d like to eat together after the wade before we all depart.
We’ll provide waders, gloves, litter pickers, bags and walking poles. When booking your place please confirm your shoe size so we can provide you with the correct size waders.
All children under 18 years old must be accompanied by an adult. For this event, children under 14 years old will have limited access to certain parts of the river due to depth of the water.
